One of Yorkshire’s finest micro-breweries with a national reach – you can enjoy ales from Elland Brewery pretty much right across the UK, with the multi-award winning 1872 porter the mainstay at beer festivals the length and breadth of the country – it’s a Supreme Champion Beer of Britain, after all!
So when the brewery wanted to reinforce the information on its pump clips to convey the really important things people want to know when ordering a beer in a busy pub, they turned to our design team to simplify and strengthen the message.
The brief was to rebrand the identity but keep to a very similar shape, using typography rather than images to communicate with consumers. Initial development work was selected and refined to create the current easily recognisable Elland Brewery identity.
Today, the new clip shape and format is easy to spot in the busiest of bar areas, with information on the name of the ale, the taste, the colour and the ABV (Alcohol By Volume) details. It’s clean, clear, fresh and strong, and stands out amongst the competition. We even vary it for new products such as Christmas specials, where some imagery is used in the background as an additional differentiator.
So cheers – go ahead and enjoy the results!
